A couple of colleagues having a casual lunch together …..
Woman: “Hey, I see you’re not happy in your marriage.”
Man: “Is it so obvious?”
Woman: “Yes, it is, hahaha, well my marriage is a little troubled too.”
Man: “Oh really?”
Woman: “Yea it’s been like that for a while (long pause) …… mmmm …. do you like me?”
Man thought to himself, “if I say yes, my life is going to be upside down and will never be the same again …… “
Man: “Errrr….. yes, yes I do like you.”
And that was the beginning of the end of two marriages, children in tow.
I assure you, this is not an uncommon scenario – this is how marriages end – when we open up and connect with the wrong person at the wrong time, this is what happens.
When a man or a woman is troubled in their marriage, they should seek help from the right people – and not put themselves in a situation where a casual chat could turn into an extra-marital affair.
Nip the problem in the bud and not let it snowball into an uncontrollable monster.
When that happens and when children are involved, the collateral damage is too big, often irreversible.
