Would God ever disown us? Yes, if we disown Him, He will disown us (2Tim.2:12b). While no one can snatch us out of the Father’s hand (Jn.10:29), we can choose to rebel and disassociate ourselves with God. Simply put, we can crawl out of the Father’s hand. How do we disown Him? When we are too embarrassed to identify ourselves as Christians in the midst of unbelievers, when we do not boldly speak the truth and defend it whenever an opportunity arises, when we continue to sin deliberately and live like we are children of the world instead of children of God, when we blend in with unbelievers so well – participating in ungodly talk and activities that make us indistinguishable from the ungodly. When we conduct ourselves in an ungodly manner deliberately and continually, we have disowned Him. And when we disown Him, He will disown us. As you walk with God today, may the love of Christ compel you to know Him, love Him and serve Him more. May His grace be so full in your heart so that you may live daily under His grace.
