TWC – The Word Connects: Connecting you to God and to one another … Monday 26 May 2014
Many people fear death, even I do sometimes when I think about it. But at the same time, I remind myself that my life is in God’s hands and He is the One who sustains me. I would also remind myself that beyond death’s door is eternity with God because Jesus has destroyed death and brought us life and immortality through the gospel of Christ! Jesus was very clear about this when He spoke about the end times, “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.” Yes, he who perseveres or stand firm to the end will be saved! Doesn’t that give you the motivation to be faithful to God to the end? As you walk with God today, remember that He loves you and He is faithful. As you and I stand firm in our love for God, our commitment to fulfill His purposes and proclaim His Word, we know we will be saved! Have a great day!
