Paul tells us in Eph.2:8,9 – For we have been saved by grace through faith, and this is not from ourselves, it is God’s gift to us, not by works, so that no one can boast. Grace has been freely given to us and through faith in God, we receive this gift. Someone once defined grace as “receiving something we don’t deserve” and mercy as “not receiving something we deserve”. Well, God has given us both grace and mercy. Through faith in Christ, we have received God’s gift of eternal life, something we don’t deserve. That shows how much He loves us. Even while we were still sinners, God sent Jesus to die in the cross for us! The offended God dying for the offenders, such wondrous love. God has graciously given us eternal life and by His mercy, we have been spared of eternal punishment reserved for the ungodly. As you walk with God today, walk with gratitude. Honor God and please Him only. Have a great day!
