The Word of God reveals the God of the Word. If you read the Word of God but do not see God revealed in His Word, then the Bible has become mere literature to you. An important question to ask when reading God’s Word is this: what does this passage or verse reveal about who God is? For instance, the first chapter of Genesis reveals that God is the Creator of all things, He is orderly, creative, personal, powerful, etc. Or when reading the parable of the vineyard workers in Mt.20, the Word reveals that God is a generous God, who is loving, caring and in control of all things. As we discover more of who God is each day, the revelation affects our devotion to God and our worship of Him. It affects our walk with Him. We can trust Him more and more as we grow in knowing Him. As you read God’s Word today, see the revelation of God in His Word. Have a great day!
