How to Keep God‘s Love Real in Our Hearts? Part II

How to keep God’s love real in our hearts? (Part II). Be wholly conscious of the Lord’s presence with us all the time. His name is Emmanuel – which means ‘God with us’. Two things happen when we are mindful of His constant presence. First, we feel loved and we are infused with confidence and courage. We fear nothing and no one because God is with us. We are able to fulfill God’s purposes for our lives because we never work nor walk alone. When we need to stand up for the truth, whenever we need to confront evil, we do it passionately because He is with us and He anoints us for the tasks we undertake in His Name. Second, we walk in godly fear and we are mindful not to sin against Him. Whenever temptations confront us, the holiness of God steps in and we can say “no” to the enemy. We are no longer slaves to sin – who cannot turn away from sin. In Christ, we are free, because He has set us free! Free to choose holiness, free to reject ungodliness. Whether it is His empowering presence that enables us to live joyfully for Him or His holy restrain that prevents us from ungodliness, the fact is that they demonstrate God’s amazing love for us! Being mindful of His presence keeps God’s love real in our hearts.

Ps.139:7 Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? 8 If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! 9 If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, 10 even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me. 11 If I say, “Surely the darkness shall cover me, and the light about me be night,” 12 even the darkness is not dark to you; the night is bright as the day, for darkness is as light with you.
